Tasty and healthy, this inviting recipe belies its simple preparation. Best to soak the Golden Peony Red Rice overnight before cook it with the curry powder.



Serves: 4     




  • 1 tube of Fortune Egg Tofu (cut into pieces)
  • 250ml of broth (can be chicken or vegetable)
  • 350ml of water
  • 1 pack of 150g of kimchi (Include kimchi juice)
  • 1 pack of mushroom (can be golden mushroom or white beech mushrooms, trimmed at the end and separated)
  • 1 1/2 table spoon hot pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper powder
  • 2 stalks of leek



  1. Combine kimchi, kimchi juice, sugar, hot pepper paste, broth and water in a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add Fortune egg tofu and mushroom. Lower the heat to medium low. Cook for another 8-10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle pepper power and add in the leek.
  5. Remove from heat and serve soup with either noodles or rice.
